Morostav Trail.

Because of Sunreach and his insanely big mob.

Lornar's Pass because our group only had 6. Stopping at Dreadnaught's Drift the night before with 8 was a bad idea.

Joko's Domain - easily.
Make sure you stock the Frozen Soil - I should note that I vanquished this before Sab's 3-necro build came out though.

Elona:Poisoned Outcrops, Cantha:Sunjiang District. Haven't finished vanquishing Tyria yet.

Alkali Pan - because of that wicked group of Cavaliers and Acolytes and boss just west of Morah.

That was one tough scrap, but after many deaths and candy canes we managed to keep a few healers interested at maximum pulling range and let the bodies decay away before going in for more.

Umm - yes, I forgot that you could swing around there via worms - most embarrassing when I realised that 2 mins after. No Ursan either BTW - we both agreed not to cheapen the experience and glad we did.

As for the rest - Joko's - not for the difficulty - just the sheer mental effort of finishing. That drained me more than the triple area (SnakeDance through to Lornars).

We did wipe once on Rotscale, and there were other times when we overaggroed or pulled badly. All in all it was fun putting together combo's to get the job done.

My recommendation for Eastern Frontier is to take a 5th man for more punch (ie Summon Ruby Djinn).

I found Eastern Frontier to be relatively easy with Sab's Triple Necro team. Joko's is IMHO the most difficult to vanquish. I've done this area twice, once with a balanced build and once with an ursan group and both times it was a nightmare to get through.

Eastern frontier was sucky indeed, did it with hench/hero's though.
Majesty's rest was easy for me because I did it with a group of good players (mostly guildies).

Most frustrating so far was 'The falls', because I took the wrong h/h setup (I don't like to use the wiki's). There's only one res shrine in The Falls, so after a party wipe I had to walk a lot (died at the top left).

As most have said Eastern Frontier is probably one of the toughest, I have rolled through most areas, even the 4 man ones in tyria but Eastern Frontier is ugly.

Eastern Frontier was really hard, damn grawls! Ice Floe was pretty tough too, those huge Mursaat mobs can really hurt in HM.

Sunjiang District has some difficult bosses in it. And Unwaking Waters, only because of Kuunvie though. Damn Insta-Death Ele boss, lol.

Garden of Sebhorin and Joko's domain are pretty nasty too.

I got hung up on Eastern Frontier with the 3-nec team, but I swapped a skill for smooth criminal and just soaked the monks spells. Once I got his healing hands, I would wipe him out. The small area with the wandering monk grawls was really the only challenge to the area.

Tahnaki Temple the hard way. The part where you go up a spiral slope thingy - it's hard not to aggro 2-3 groups of Jade brotherhood. That's a shit load of dragon stomping

Joko's Domain is the hardest. About 95% of the area is fairly easy, but there's this glut of really hard groups right in the middle of the area. Maybe... 4 or 5 groups. But yeah, the difficulty level on that handful of groups is enough to make the area maddeningly difficult.

Hmm, I've not done all but my least favourite have been:
1) Arbour Bay - long, lots of drakes.
2) Iceflow - 2 hours just to find one patroling Jade we'd missed.
3) Raisu - hate it in nm, hm is... :S

Most of mine have been only 1-3 humans, rest heroes, so not really all that surprising.

dunno the higher areas are harder but you expect that and prep for it, but i would have to say
Sunreachs place, i did this long before many people have the legendary vanq and knew what to do.
eastern frontier-Simply the healing. The hammer grawl didn't bother me much but the monks were a bitch to take down. Even with a mes.

jokodomain, 2 hour 7min henching

You can run in Shot arrow and run away, all enemy will follow you
once it reach a limit they run back pin down 1 target and kill it >.> don't need soil, I don't think my time is slow thou with this tactic thou :O

Garden 1 hour 17min. o.oa

Raisu palace,1 hour 11min.henching, piece of cake =O
find a spot to tank, whirling defend + 2 hench monk = gg

Unwaking water, 32min. henching, The Kuunavang is pretty high damage first time fight I got spike and died instat -__-a

Eastern frontier! 2 grawl monk are just annoying
I need to bring smooth criminal to steal heal other and d-shout heal area -_-
use celerity because can't find last group -__-

Hardest for me is Brotherhood Group, I think it's the highest damage+aoe of all monster, Trible chop cyclone axe war + Ancester rage from rit
and conju ele with Dragon stomp, the only group that whirling defend + 2 hench monk is not enough. if one of them make to your backline instant whip with aoe.
